Some of the parents believe that early childhood education provided by the playschools in India are a primary requirement for their child as it can develop their social and literary skills which will be useful to them in their elementary school. According to facts, India is one of the countries in the world with the youngest population. Around 60% of the country’s population is below 30 years of age and according to the 2011 census, there were more than 16 crore children in the age group of 0-6 years. There were about 33,000 preschools in India as of 2015 catering to this huge segment of population. There are few prominent problems with preschools in India like there is hardly any mechanism for registration and certification pre-school and there are no standard curriculum which is rigidly followed, the curriculum is not so advanced as expected. The variable fee structure is also a problem. Where a parent may spend around Rs 3,500 per month in a tier-I city, about Rs 200 per month are spent on children in the rural locations of India. Some of the preschools in India also lack trained teaching staff which is a huge disadvantage. So, there are a few steps which all the preschools in India must take in order to improve their curriculum which will lead to betterment of the children –
